Biotech Club
Instructor: Jim Mudd   
OPHS BioTech Club is a chapter of the National Association for Biology Teachers (NABT) sponsored BioClub.  Our BioTech Club mission is to recruit, support, nurture, and promote students with an interest in biological sciences for personal reasons, academic preparation, the betterment of society, and career opportunities by providing guidance, resources, and activities to meet these goals.”
 
Objectives of the BioTech Club:
  • provide opportunities for students to share and promote interest in the biological sciences
  • provide students with experiences in authentic research
    •  Activities include participating in preparing and presenting experiments and technical information before groups
  • provide students with information about career, technical training, and college opportunities
    •  Students will meet role models in the professional science community
  • provide students with opportunities to participate in national NABT special programs
  • provide students with opportunities to take an active role in applying biology to improving life in the community
